Affected version

22.95

Device Type

Smart TV/Box

Affected Android

Android TV 12

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. In Settings->General->"Context menu", make sure that "Add/Remove from sidebar" is checked.
  2. Log into an account that has playlists
  3. Navigate to an item in a playlist and then hold the "select" button until the context menu appears
  4. Select "Add playlist to the sidebar"
  5. Navigate to the playlist item on the sidebar and observe the message: "Can't load content"

Actual behavior

Playlists that are added to the sidebar never load their content. Instead you get a "Can't load content" message with a "Sign In" button. The account is already signed in and this button does not resolve the issue. I have tried going to Settings->Accounts and logging out and back in again but it does not help. I have also tried removing the playlist from the sidebar and re-adding it, but that also didn't help. The playlists all load fine in the Playlists section of the UI, they just don't load if you access them from the sidebar. I know this functionality used to work because I used it all the time.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say, but it seems completely unrelated to what I reported.

I'm seeing the same - pinned playlists show a message "Can't load content" even though I'm signed in. If I press the "SIGN IN" button, it doesn't generate a login code. It happened once before, some months ago, and resolved itself after a week or two, but I never knew what fixed it.

My pinned Watch Later playlist started working today. I didn't change anything and the app is still version 22.95. Did it start working for you too @gcogger ?

I've just updated to 23.20 and it's working again now. Sorry, not sure if it was fixed before or after the update,as I hadn't checked for a couple of days.
