SmartTube 403 Code even with last two 403 fixes

Getting the 403 error. Latest stable version. Also occurs on the beta version. NOTHING will play at all.

Same here. Mine worked this morning with the latest beta, then another beta update was released later and I decided to install that too. It worked for a few hours but just now my TiVo Stream 4K restarted on its own and now SmartTube on the TS4K won't play anything. Strange. (BTW this isn't a rant; we're lucky to have SmartTube. :)

No matter which version, upgrade to latest or not, the symptom of 403 existed. This is due to changes of APIs at Google/YouTube, not SmartTube app itself. So let's be patient and wait for new fix/update to address that.

The 403 Forbidden error seems to come from Youtube!

I think yt somehow blocks IPs once you update to latest version 22.37... even if you downgrade it stays.

It's not that, I tried with VPN and it's still the same!

I have one fire stick working. Not been updated since 21.91s And one not working fire stick which I updated a couple hours ago Which is weird if it's a YouTube server thing Even if I uninstall and install the older version, it still doesn't work They are both logged into the same account

Live still working even after the update, while other videos shows error 403, it was working perfectly an hour ago!!! Wonder will smart tube find a solution by another update?! Or we r stuck again with YouTube & adds?! Hope not. Will we get a reply back fm them to our complain msgs or not?!

This is likely caused by YouTube rolling out the videos with ads baked in.

Any fix is likely YouTube putting you back on the old video style until YouTube decides to start serving you the new video style again. Google is known to rollout changes, this fits that narrative very well.

This probably means the third party players are getting different video files from what they are expecting.

It doesn't matter what version you are using. This is YouTube's doing.
