No chapter support?
I just downloaded and installed the app, and I was pretty surprised to find out that there doesn't seem to be chapter support. On the stock YouTube app, you can seek left or right, and if you hit the up button, you'll have the ability to easily navigate through all of sections of the video. This is super useful especially for music playlist videos, where you can use it to skip or go back to certain songs. It's also really useful for skipping intros or sections in certain videos.
Given how feature packed this app seems to be, with settings for every single little thing, I'm a little perplexed as to why this functionality would be omitted. It almost makes me think I must be missing something, and the functionality can be enabled in the settings or something. I dug around a fair bit however, and I was not able to find any setting for it.
Are there plans to add this feature in the future? Not having chapters is almost a deal breaker.
#53 and #1410
#53 and #1410
Way back to issue #53? That's concerning.

Of course! How dare the single developer that's working on this project, in most likely their free time, who lives in Ukraine, not get this feature done more promptly?
Please don't ever complain about someone's hobby project not having the features you want. If you'd like to help, contribute code, or give the person money.
If you're going to report an issue, maybe search for that feature request before submitting.

It's concerning only in my ability to utilize this as fulltime alternative to the default YouTube app.
If there's a feature I find important, which was mentioned such a long time ago to the point another similar issue was created over 1000 issues later, there's nothing wrong with me questioning the state of active development for a project, and whether or not the option would work.
There was no real reasoning here to justify jumping the gun, claiming I'm complaining "free stuff isn't good enough, give more, better quick", and using emotional blackmail to reprimand and scold a complete stranger online.
Edit: instead of replying to me, you liked your own comment and haven't apologized.
@pumkapie You're the one who used extremely loaded language when speaking about the feature. "I was surprised", "I was perplexed", "I must be missing something". These are all examples of gaslighting, a form of psychological abuse.
You made a logical fallacy in your comment. You claimed you were "questioning the state of active development" without giving any evidence to support your questioning. This very duplicate issue you opened ironically waters down your "1000 issues later" claim. This app is getting monthly updates and has just added several large features just a few minutes ago, it's very much actively developed.
Of course, your tactic is to: use abusive language when demanding a feature, wait for someone to claim you're ungrateful, then reply by claiming they "attacked a stranger online". Rinse and repeat and that's your whole personality.
On GitHub, one doesn't open duplicate issues, please close this.
The current beta version supports chapters! And it works very well.
Many thanks to the developer!
@pumkapie Good to close?
Yes, 100% thanks!
