lossing buffer when rewinding backward

in video player settings, i usually set video buffer to high. this allows me seeing forward without interabtion Interruption, that is, when I skip 5 or 10 seconds forward it plays instantly.

i wish we can keep the loaded portions of the video and be able to seek and jump within those portion of the video without the need to reload them again.

However, if i where to rewind backward even only just 5 seconds all video buffer is lost. and the video starts to rebufffer all over again which is a waste of data, especially for some like me how likes to go back and forth a lot while watching.

P.S: in newpipe if i where watching a 20 min video and i have watched say to the 15 min from it, within that 15 minutes of the video, i can jump on the seekbar from on place to another or seek forward and backward without redownloading or Buffering any part. if Im not mistaken, i think newpipe keeps the cashed data of the viewed portion of videos for this sake. i can even sometimes play the previous video from history with internet is off.
