Video source isn't working or incorrect time error
While logged into a YouTube account or signed out I keep getting 'Video source isn't working or incorrect time error' on many videos using a Firecube and using version update 15.81. I checked the same videos on my PC and they work fine. What is causing this problem? The last several updates have caused so many problems. It is so frustrating.
This looks like a regional lock (i'm in France), using a vpn/proxy works for me. Not ideal, but better than nothing while waiting for another solution.
Having the same problem on a Firestick 4k, STN version 15.81, Looks like YT is doing all they can to block the sources from 3rd party apps
Virtually impossible to watch any videos on a Sony XH95 running STN Beta 15.91 😔
Edit: I have since discovered that it seems to be routing issues with my ISP causing issues with Google Services as opposes to their being an issue with STN.
2 cents idea... Forcing IPV6 seems to works well with yt-dlp, maybe adding a "Force IPv6" options in SmartTubeNext will help with this issue.
Have there been any updates to resolve this? There seem to be posts, going back several months, about this issue!
I'm also experience this problem on my Amazon Fire TV Stick also located in France (ipv6 is disabled on my network). Using version 16.04 but also didn't work properly on previous versions.
I am using TCL tv (android tv 11) and the latest STN beta version (16.39). The STN is so far very stable (for 2 years+). Suddenly hitted this error yesterday.
Newpipe (installed on the same tv) is normal and can view the problem YT clips......
I remembered I recently installed "android tv core services update" and the problem started. So I unistall the "core services" and STN beta(16.39). Then I install the previous stable STN (16.04). The problem gone....
I thought gooxxx/andxxx tv/yoxxxxx should recently implemented "somethings"(they called "update/performance improve/bug fix", sounds good~~) to block 3rd party YT wares.
The same issue in China with VPN. Pull the progress bar a litter later seems can continue watch the video.
