Please make SmartTubeNext buffer and start playback quicker for 4K videos!!!

Hi,

I have been doing some testing and in my findings on my Shield TV Pro when play any 4K videos it usually takes around "5 seconds" or so when I skip around the video and buffers and plays in SmartTubeNext. Where as with the official Youtube App with the same 4K videos when skipping around it takes around what seems "1 second" or less to buffer and play.

If at all possible if you could look into making SmartTubeNext buffer all videos especially 4K ones a lot quicker and match the speed of the official Youtube App that would be fantastic.

That's because this is an issue with only this app, doesnt matter what format, resolution, of fps, your buffer size will reset itself to 0 and refuse to play the video. It is an issue with this app specifically. Tested so many times thinking I was losing my mind or the internet was the issue, but no, apparently my 1gb fiber is amazing and this app just refuses to do what it's meant to do. I dont think there is a fix.

You could try the developer option like buffer fix and fps fix, but I did that too and no luck, still buffers on every other video. Feels like I'm playing the lottery on which video will work...

I'm not facing any issues and I'm using the wifi of the Google Sabrina (gigabit wifi but the wifi chip on the device only manages around 100mbps down). 4k60fps vp9 I can play at double speed no problem.

Same here, no problem with buffering or slow starts even at high resolutions and rates.
