VP9 not available on 15.3

Hi there.

I've always watched YouTube with the VP9 format. However, since the last update to 15.3, this can no longer be selected. Videos can now only be viewed in AVC...nothing else. I use a FireTV Stick. How could I solve this problem? Is there a way to roll back updates?

VP9 works fine with my FireTV using version 15.30.

Thanks for the response.

Very strange...there was an update for my "Fire TV Stick Lite"...maybe that has something to do with it.

I also testet the beta version...same thing. Only AVC and no VP9.

I have a Fire TV Stick 4K but the codecs are the same https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazon_Fire_TV#Models
