Ad video showing as first recommended video

The Recommended row's first video on the left is now a sponsored ad video instead of being a recommendation video based on my profile.

The recommended video ad shows up in both the stable and beta branch, but only if I am logged in. When not logged in the recommended ad video doesn't show up.

Same for me, first recommended video is an ad. Usually isn't there after navigating away from the "home" view and back and the recommendations refresh though.

seems to have disappeared after latest update for me. will update if it comes back

I get it way more frequently now, almost every refresh has AD video as the first I don't want to see.

I assume youtube has started somehow faking ad videos through metadata so they look like any other video. It also has no long press menu.
