Show an image for x seconds using the command line

It would be awesome if LayerX could take options from the command line, e.g. like this:

./LayerX --image ~/image.png --position 100x100 --size 200x400 --duration 400ms

That way it would be much easier to integrate LayerX with bash scripts (or AppleScripts). Or is there already such a feature hidden somewhere, @yuhua-chen ?
