It is a fork, that has been better maintained and has better documentation.
But, I think you are looking for something different. These repos are to crack the restrictions passcode of the phone, that can be set in the settings to limit the devices functionality (for kids) for example, but not to crack the lock screen password. There are other methods for that, but I don't know them straight out of the head right now.
