Thread tooltip in profiler GUI is shown even when the window is not active on OSX

When using the QT profiler GUI on OSX, the 'thread' tooltip gets shown even if the profiler window is occluded, not active, or minimized. For example:

Normal: image

Not normal: image

The tooltip doesn't get hidden when switching windows, and the tooltip gets shown even if the profiler window is not visible.

i've seen it on Linux and Windows 10 too.
