1.4.11 re-introduces #7 and #18

Due to https://github.com/ysard/mintrayr/commit/bbf8eb37e09630d69b40941fb5f8ca277d507ebb version 1.4.11 re-introduces the pre-1.4.6 behavior for me, i.e. Thunderbird asks me to authorize the installation of the add-on by "another program on my computer" and restart afterward every time.

I'm not sure if that revert happened on purpose and what's the reason for it.

Same here. I'm getting exactly the same effects including not having the ability to change the addons settings which like last time was necessary for it to work properly.

Dev version is only a partial fix for me:

  • previously (with the regular version) the addon asked to be re-installed every restart of TB.

  • with the dev version, that behavior is indeed fixed - but it still asks to be re-installed after every restart of the OS now.
