I've used weight windows extensively in MCNP, always turning survival biasing off. Via the cut or phys card. Not sure about the source itself having further disabling mechanisms (wrt WWP)...

I think this kind of functionality is great. Allowing for simple, straightforward activation. Few people know that OpenMC has activation in it
I think these kinds of warnings would be more useful than the terminal print that OpenMC is loading abc.h5 neutron cross-section.
