Can't insert IFC files after windows update
Yesterday, I updated my windows (an update of windows 10, not changing to windows 11) and now I can't insert IFC files in IFC Toolbox. When I try to drop files, it looks like the tool does not receive the file. I tried to input parameters manually (I tought it could be just a problem in the frontend), but it does not work anyway. Is there any update for IFC Toolbox?
Hi, @FelipeSatS Could you provide more details of your current version? bty, if drag drop doesn't work, could you click the area to call the system file picker to add files? Actually, I'm quite busy recently, I hope the next version will come in the next month : )
Hi, @youshengCode Sorry for taking too long to answer. I'm using the version 1.2.2.0. A friend of mine is having this problem too. I tried both ways (drag drop and clicking the area to insert the file). I was testing with the files in my desktop folder, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I could not figure a pattern of how it fails, I always tried with files using IFC 2x3 format and similar size.
Hi, @youshengCode! Today I tried to open an IFC file with 11 MB and it didn't work. Then I used solibri optimizer to reduce the size of the file to 6 MB and the IFC Toolbox opened it.
Hi, @FelipeSatS Thank you for your feedback, in fact, now we are refactoring the entire app, and expect a new version to be released in Q3 this year. Due to limited energy, it is difficult for us to maintain and fix some issues in this version at the same time. If I have the energy in the future, I will try my best to fix it. And I will definitely reach you out for our new version internal test later this year. Thanks again.
Hi, @youshengCode , I'm happy to help. And thank you for your work!
