This plugin slows down Homebridge (increased in child bridge modus)

I'm running a basic Homebridge setup on my RPi 3B+. My ICS-2000 has 12 accessories in my Homebridge installation.

Been using your plugin for some time and every now and then I receive a "This plugin slows down Homebridge." error in the logs.

Since yesterday (27-8) I'm experimenting by running this plugin as a child bridge and since now my logs get flooded with the following error: "This plugin slows down Homebridge. The read handler for the characteristic 'On' was slow to respond! See https://homebridge.io/w/JtMGR for more info."
