How to see multiple notes as cards?

Open gerroon opened this issue 3 years ago • 5 comments

Hi

I installed the plugin, I enable the cards view but I can only see the current note as a card. How do I see multiple notes in the card view like you have in the screenshots?

@gerroon Did you ever find a fix for this? I'm experiencing the same issue.

This works for me. There doesn't appear to be an update from the time you posted this until today.

Your issues might be that you need for the note to be in preview mode to see it as a card. My guess is that you have the one card in preview mode and the others are in edit mode. If you have Obsidian set to default to edit mode, then you'll also lose the card view when you focus a note.

To get this to look like the screenshots, you have to fiddle with the settings a bit. I needed to narrow the card width and remove the dividers in the card-view-mode settings. In the Sliding plugin, I needed to move the toggle spines and the stackable options so that I got a minimal view. In Obsidian settings, I set the view to preview by default. This got me most of the way, but you'll just have to mess around with the settings to get the view just as you like.

I have the same issue. I can only see one card at a time. In reading mode, it is displayed as a card but I can't see any other cards, which seems to defeat the purpose of this plugin. I would love to use the card view shown in the screenshots but no amount of fiddling with the settings seems to help.

Edit: I think I got it now. The issue was that I hadn't enabled the sliding panes plugin. Maybe that requirement could be emphasised more in the instructions.

Hi, does it work on the android app to get the same view as the screenshots with multiple cards ? because trying to fiddle on the app, i only get 1 card at the time and not multiple displayed.
