Ondrej: It looks like if you try to transcode it to jpeg and and the source has alpha channel, it silently errors out and take some time. If you output the same to lets say png, it doesn't produce any errors and is much much faster on my machine it is something like 6.2 sec vs 0.4 sec so on this particular sequence it is something like 30 minutes vs. 2
