Changes double-click behavior

It seems like I used to be able to double-click on a symbol and have it selected. Now I have to put the cursor in the symbol first and then double-click. So if the cursor is somewhere else it's a triple-click, but if the cursor is already on that symbol it's just a double-click.

Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS
Racket v8.9

In addition, it seems that removing the plugin does not return the old behavior. I've done this several times now. It is necessary to completely uninstall Racket (and DrRacket) in order to get the old double-click behavior back.
