high storage usage & can't uninstall

I tried to build it from scratch but it started taking a long time and I watched the storage intake and it almost took 8 gigs for some reason. I stopped quickly and couldn't figure out how to remove those 8 gigs of additional storage. how can I remove those? also does that happen to anyone else? if it didn't happen to anyone else I may assume that it may be a user-produced error but I still would need to know

Just delete the folder it's located. It is normal for it to take super long.
