How do I remove it on ubuntu?

The README doesn't specifiy uninstall instructions, and I have no idea what to do.

Also, how do I temporarily disable it? I tried temporarily disabling the extension but it did nothing.

What do you mean by disabling it temporarily? You should be able to install stock mutter by apt-get install mutter which will prompt you to remove mutter-rounded
