Currently the Heroku setup is completely broken since the build scripts fail due to database errors (incompatibility with database connections).

Solving this problem should include adding full PostgreSQL support, which may be beneficial in the long run.

Will be testing these changes this weekend.

ClearDB may be a good stop-gap measure until PSQL support is fully added to the project. https://elements.heroku.com/addons/cleardb
