Rails server not running with commands rails s

I followed the steps given in readme. i am able to run client app, but rails server not starting up

Description: The 'rails new' command creates a new Rails application with a default directory structure and configuration at the path you specify.

Note that the arguments specified in the .railsrc file don't affect the
defaults values shown above in this help message.

Example: rails new ~/Code/Ruby/weblog

This generates a skeletal Rails installation in ~/Code/Ruby/weblog.

which rails version are you using?

I have: Rails 4.2.5 with ruby: 2.2.3p173

Ruby 2.2.3p173 with Rails 4.2.5

windows 8.1 64bit

@yigit You ignore '/bin' where root folder .gitignore, but the rails needn't do than.

On setup after these commands

cd server; bundle install; rake db:migrate RAILS_ENV=development;

Run this command to generate /bin

rake rails:update:bin

Then you can start the server using

rails s

Me too had the same issue. But mistakenly i deleted /bin folder from root directory. i recovered and all worked normally. thanks to @rhettor for pointing it out

1. gem uninstall tzinfo-data
2. In the Gemfile, replace 'gem "tzinfo-data", platforms: %i[ mingw mswin x64_mingw jruby ]' to just gem "tzinfo-data"
3. bundle install
