[TODO] Add support for Windows
Would love to see this being integrated to something like RooCode or OpenHands, any tool that needs a robust RAG system that gets the job done
Thank you for your feedback. We will look into that.
Can u clarify me whether the windows support is available for leann backend package
For windows, what dependencies aren't working out of the box, yet?
Also, the dependency hell here is quite deep - enterprise really doesn't like such a depth of dependencies - I believe your core algorithm/repo shouldn't need all the pdf conversion pieces, or the LLM inference (torch/mlx), Ideally we could just point to openAI compatible endpoints for the inference, and you'd let us provide you plaintext documents.
Right now, we don't have the wheel for Windows just because we don't have much bandwidth and yes, as @ExeVirus points out, we should need that much dependency and we will consider make it simpler
Yey guys, I for one am eagerly waiting for this Windows version. :)
@mll0 Hi, thanks for your interest. Right now, the best way to work on Windows in WSL, if you want native Windows support, we still need some time to push that. Thanks!
Just saw that it was not working for windows yet while trying to install. Really looking forward to it.

╰─▶ Because all versions of leann-backend-hnsw have no wheels with a matching platform tag (e.g., `win_amd64`) and you require leann-backend-hnsw, we can conclude that your requirements are unsatisfiable.
hint: Wheels are available for `leann-backend-hnsw` (v0.3.4) on the following platforms: `manylinux_2_35_x86_64`, `manylinux_2_39_aarch64`, `macosx_13_0_x86_64`, `macosx_14_0_arm64`, `macosx_15_0_arm64`
Can you try wsl? We support WSL now @builder-main
