Make committing a separate thread?

When 'temp' and 'incoming' are in different btrfs subvolumes (I guess the same happens when they are in different partitions) committing takes long and while it happens, mlnet becomes unresponsive and all downloads stop.

I believe, forking commits into a different thread might help.
