Hello, I would like to use our application in your company on MacOS computers. I'm trying to give it the same menu aspect than an similar application (http://glatigny.github.io/guipro/#portal) that we would like to use for Windows computers. Which one offer the possibility to browse a folder.

Did Hello IT offer the same possibility (i don't find it in functions) ?

It's a way for us to bypass some Finder problems on old MacOSX version with shortcuts.

Best regards

Hello,

At that time, the product does not have any folder reflection capabilities.

Can you tell me more about what you intend to do with it? What's the use case?

Under MS Win 11 is no longer possible to add a simple file shortcut (or alias) to the taskbar. This Portal's feature let user to place all their favorite shortcuts (app, fiche, folders, ...) in a folder, and access them in the application menu: the browsing feature generate a menu with all the shortcuts.

Under MacOS, the dock not have this limitation : you can still drag and drop a file, or a folder on the dock right side. But Finder, don't permit it to drag-drop files on the left side... Finder lost also it's shortcuts sometimes...

So I was wondering if it was possible to do even to offer the same alternative using your app. If it's not possible, nevermind.

Currently this app support only target to open (so an app or a link) but does not construct dynamically menu and submenu based on folder content.

It has to be developed on purpose here. I'm just wondering if it has legitimate usage in macOS UX and how it has to be done
