Layout component causes re-render in figwheel

It looks to be the case that the re-mdl.core/layout will cause interactive development problems if it is the top component. To reproduce, load up figwheel with the react dev tools and note that every re-render of the app creates a new component.

Wrapping it in another div is a quick fix, but this should be looked at.
