Make sure you're installing the right save depending on what version you want to hack.

im just using the first save and im overwriting an old one should i not do that?

kamikazilucas avatar Aug 13 '18 08:08 kamikazilucas

No, make sure all saves are deleted first.

Souperman9 avatar Aug 14 '18 06:08 Souperman9

ok thanks ill try that when the 11.8 payload comes out

kamikazilucas avatar Aug 14 '18 08:08 kamikazilucas

Np. You can delete all saves by holding ABXY when starting oot.

Hello! Please refer to this guide/post (https://gbatemp.net/threads/update-11-7-and-homebrew.507916/page-5#post-8074643). I had the EXACT same problem and it took me forever to finally find the solution. It says stickerhax, but works with oothax, too. [WARNING, YOU NEED AN ALREADY HACKED 3DS WITH A SAVE EDITOR INSTALLED] [Works with 11.8, just tested it out]. Sorry for the late response!

ok ill try it and tell you the results

kamikazilucas avatar Oct 19 '18 08:10 kamikazilucas

but how do i export the save data from the cart?

kamikazilucas avatar Oct 19 '18 08:10 kamikazilucas

You need a save editor like JKSM. I personally use the save editor found here (https://www.reddit.com/r/3dshacks/comments/3j273o/save_manager/) since it's simpler to use. Put the save_manager file in "3ds" folder on the root of your SD card, boot into Homebrew, look for "save_manager", run it, choose OoT as the target program, then hit "A" to export the save file to your SD card.
