high chance getting junk+white screen

menuhax2.0 JAP-N3ds-9.1sysnand 9.5emunand entry point-browser.

what i have did to fix: select a new theme in SYSNAND in order to disable menuhax go to menuhaxmanager via browserhax(hbl) choose delete option (second option)

then just install normally (via browserhax)

PS: custom splash screen seems not affecting the rate of success.

right now i am getting 1 out of 4 or 5. very low success rate.

just to be specific:

after power button is pushed

the console boots up with screen is off

very soon the screen is powered on (but still black)

then splash screen (junk or custom)

then bottom screen shows which the very first being white ( or grey)

then it stucks for forever.

if i close lid and open, the top screen goes black as well, no change on the bottom.

PS: if i load hbl via browser entry point. i can see the Mhax 2.5 screen flash by (i guess that is the payload screen?) which means the payload is working, the problem is themehax itself?

PS2: when i did the reinstallation above, i did clean and reset browser.

looks like my dbs files got corrupted ?

v9.1 isn't supported by the *hax payloads(AFAIK).

So you're saying it works fine on v9.1 via browserhax but not menuhax?(odd)

i haven't deliberately try the browserhax just for the sake of testing out this rate. But last night, i think i entered browser for more than 10 times without fail once.

menuhax still fails a lot.

i have a n3ds-9.2EUR (downgraded from 10.3), which has much much higher success rate.(1 out 10 fail or even less). (both use browserhax for the first time installation, all sysnand is clean for scratch)

i think i am going to delete extDATA and reset my sysnand in setting menu(for my JAP-9.1 ofc) try clean install again.

just quick question: is there any possibility that my emuNAND can get in the way of menuhax load up? (during cold boot ofc)

SD nandimage doesn't matter until you actually boot into it.

I'm also having a very low boot success rate on NEW 9.1.0-20-J. Using v2.1 of the config tool, the payload it uses to install appears to be ropbinpayload_menuhax_JPN14336_new3ds.bin.

I've noticed that when using Type1 button setting (with L specifically), the boot is successful most of the time as long as I hold down the button after the screen light turns on, i.e. it won't work if I power on with the button held already. But with Type2/buttonless, it only boots successfully about 1 in 10 times.

Any idea of what could be causing this?

i did a wifi-update(to 10.3) and then use sysupdater to downgrade to 9.2 (however it shows 9.1 in setting, but accroding to this https://gbatemp.net/threads/can-i-use-sysupdater-to-upgrade-my-version.409935/#post-5963815, my real system should be 9.2?)

anyhow, now, it boots like a charm. feels just like how my other EUR-N3ds boots up, very very high success rate.

I had like 25-50% boot succes rate, most times my 3DS hanged on menuhax logo with white bottom screen. Changing theme in sysnand and reinstalling menuhax didn't work for me. What worked was using themehax 1.2 payload instead of menuhaxs payload for booting menuhax, now 10 out of 10 boots are succesful. European n3DS

@BlaX722 what is your SYSNAND version? that was exactly what mine works like, white screen stuck with junk on top.

i really dont want to use 1.2themehax due to type2 keyconfig and custom splash screen xD.

@zjxlsgh oh, I am not using themehax. I am using only the payload to boot menuhax. Don't know what do you mean by type2 keyconfig but custom splash screens still works. I have 9.0.0-20E sysnand.
