[QUESTION]: any way to download dolby eac3 songs without a fireTV?

Open twistedmacaroni opened this issue 2 years ago • 7 comments

Which tool

tidal-gui

Describe your question

tidal-gui required a fireTV api to download dolby atmos tracks in eac3 codec on a PC (windows 11). is there any way to download dolby atmos eac3 songs without a fireTV? or emulate fireTV somehow to get the api or something? thanks

also, if there's any way to automatically add ID3 tags to songs in tidal-dl, i'd love to know them.. thanks

I do not need FireTV, that is the whole point.

You need to force lossy downloads. Most just download lossless flac, of course with some MQA magic, but base is lossless...
