Button 'Edit' is grayed out after loading a saved session

The 'Edit' - Button is grayed out after loading a saved xml session. Everything else works fine - except all options in that menu. For this issue i found a workaround: Open Vicuna, load an image in it and then load the saved session - the 'Edit' menu works fine.
