Installing KiKit from pip3 failes on Fedora 39

Prerequisites

  • [X] I have read FAQ
  • [X] I use KiKit at least version 1.4.0 (older version are not supported)

KiKit version

1.4.0

KiCAD version

7.99 (nightly)

Operating system

Fedora 39

Description

When trying to install KiKit as recommended with pip3 I'm getting the following error:

Installing is impossible that way.

Steps to Reproduce

pip3 install kikit

I am afraid this is a duplicate of #574. I don't have a proper answer for that yet.

We started supporting Shapely 2. If you encounter any problems with Shapely 2, please let us know in #574.
