Any update with injectBody enabled kills any JavaScript

Describe the bug

I've noticed that with injectBody enabled, whether a hot update is made it "refreshes" the page without executing any JS at all. For example, a script to dynamically set the year in a copyright text will not get executed if any changes are made. This also seems to have an effect with highlight and simply clicking around the HTML will cause the bug. JavaScript only gets executed on a full page reload / saving the file which isn't ideal with scripts for animation and the second you click on the HTML file to work on it all the JS goes away.
