Diversity Analyser deleted my entire home directory

sudo python diversity_analyzer.py -i ~/test_div_anal.fasta -o ~

This overwrote my entire home directory instead of creating an output as would be expected. This seems rather unsafe. To be fair, running it with sudo was my fault, but I think it would have had permissions over my home directory anyways.
