I'm having a similar issue. The card worked when I first installed the driver, but then I switched it off and back on, and now it's not visible in Audio...

It's Hight Sierra 10.13.6, iMac 27" (Mid 2011), E-MU 0202, connected directly to the Mac.

Getting the same error when running from the command line but not when running from Xcode.
