Bug when switching between two episodes
The app changes all of the data, progress bar, name and everything, except the episode itself. The first one that is already plaing, keeps playing.
Hi thanks for the bug report. If you find the time, you could explain a bit more in detail, what the problem is. Especially: How do you switch between episodes? Just by tapping on another episode? Do you stop playback in between? Do you use the next station feature? Are the episodes you are switching between from the same podcast or from different podcasts?
And just to be clear: The UI changes completely (app and notification), but just the sound from the pervious episode continues? That is so strange. I never had the before.
I've tested the latest version yesterday and the bug seems to be fixed. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I have upgraded to Lineage 18 (Android 11) on my twolip device. The only issue that remains is power consumption when my phone is idle and I've disabled auto update. It still takes 1 to 2% of energy while sleeping.
It still takes 1 to 2% of energy while sleeping.
That is strange. If "Background Refresh" is disabled the app should do nothing except from staying in memory (until the system kills it).
Looks like this bug about switching episodes still remains and I memorized steps to reproduce it.
It happens when I switch between episodes of the same podcast. This time, I wanted to play the newest episode from Turley, it changed the episode metadata accordingly, but the audio that was playing was from the one I've listened previously, about Jussie.
Hi @RestlessDevil
Just to make sure, steps to reproduce would be:
- start playback via the small play button in the episode list
- playback starts
- tap a play button of another episode
- dialog "Start listening to this episode right away?" is shown
- tap on "Start Now"
- => metadata of selected episode is displayed, but old episode keeps playing
Is that correct?
Probably not, because this usage pattern works for me. :-)
Can you describe the steps to reproduce in a similar matter like above?
