Hello!

Are there any step-by-step instructions that I could follow as someone who doesn't have that much experience with electrical engineering to make one of these for myself?

It really just is a matter of soldering everything together and then open the ino file of this project with your Arduino IDE and upload it to your Arduino with a click of one button. Just give it a try and if you get stuck I'm sure we can help you.
