Disable router

Is there any way to disable routing so this shows up as an end point?

I’ll be using it for a special project powered by a (large) battery. But I don’t want other devices to connect to it because it will lose power every time I swap the battery or it runs down, and I fear that would cause network instability.

There are two options - first use special end device firmware, second use special PSM mode firmware. For both of them, you'll require CC Debuger to flash new firmware.
