Kinect V2

Does it work with Kinect V2? If not, do you have any suggestions about how to interface a Kinect V2 with a Raspberry Pi 2? Thanks in advance!

It does not work with Kinect One sensor.

The Kinect V2 requires USB3 to keep up with the HD bandwidth. The Raspberry Pi 2 only has USB2, so I'm afraid it won't ever work. I'm hoping to try using an Intel Compute Stick to get it to work.

Thank you so much for the clarification, xinmyname. "Kinect One" was very poor and ambiguous naming on Microsoft's part, I can't tell if they're talking about the first Kinect or the Kinect that comes with Xbox One!

Have you ever tested this? Since USB 3.0 is backward compatible, it should actually work. The only problem I can imagine is too much power drain over USB (900mA compared to 500mA), but since the Kinect has its own power supply this should be negligible.

If you haven't tested it yet, I'll buy an adapter and test it next week.

No it does not work. Not with the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B either as it does not have a USB 3.0 controller
