Gradient colors

Open mjhollerATme opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

Hi! It seems as if get_colors() and/or replace_colors() are not working with gradients. Are you aware of this and are you planing on fixing this? Thanks in advance and thank you so much for your work.

edit: Also does not seem to work with animated colors. edit 2: the "colorify" function does work with animated colors but also doesn't work with gradient colors unfortunately.

Regards, Jonathan

Thanks @mjhollerATme for your feedback! Can you send some example of lottie files with animated and gradient data? And I will fix it on the weekend!

Sure! here are some examples:

no gradient but some of the colors won’t change (maybe they are specified as a gradient – I don’t know….): https://assets9.lottiefiles.com/packages/lf20_efzurnmh.json

just a random gradient: https://assets3.lottiefiles.com/temp/lf20_EHOqTq.json

and another one with gradient: https://assets3.lottiefiles.com/packages/lf20_IrVVaU.json

and the one that animates a color – in this case it is the pinkish color of the phone screen which ist slightly animated. It works with getcolors and the colorfiy function – but not with the replacecolor function http://mjholler.de/digitalv003.json

btw. These are all pretty recent lottie files from the directory. And the last one I recall exporting with AE 2020

Thank you very much and kind regards, Jonathan
