Create search results page

As a user who's entered basic search from the homepage of the travel theme, I should see the standard search results (returning the matching "Adventures") in a search grid.

Mockups are available here:

  • https://ampstart-iframes.firebaseapp.com/templates/travel/travel.amp

Further, I'm proposing we adjust copy on the homepage:

from Where would you like to go? to What would you like to do? and Have a specific destination in mind? to Have a specific adventure in mind?

So that this search flow makes a bit more sense.

Upcoming Design Changes

In the Sprint 4 Planning sync, we talked about some upcoming minor design changes to this. Mainly in the header.

Request For Testing

Hi Claudio, Could you please test the search page?

Expected:

  • It matches the design
  • You can search in the 2 places here: search-page

Compared to https://ampstart-iframes.firebaseapp.com/templates/travel/travel-results.amp - not seeing the filter/sort options on Site.

Filters

Hi @csossi, Good point, thanks for bringing up the lack of filters.

@postphotos, could you please confirm if we decided not to implement the filters on the search page from the design? I remember a conversation about not having filters, but I'm not sure what the decision was.

Thanks!
