m3u feeds no longer .ts or .mp4 but urls
Hi
Can I do anything about this, at somestage my iptv supplier stopped using .ts or .mp4 for any of the main feeds. The moves / series are still .mp4 and play with vlc but the tv channels are only url.
Example:
http://123.123.123.123:80/live/play/Y1hKSFRFMVBialp4TjB0cVRtRlhSakJHUlU4M1VHcFNVRmczYUhkd00wY3dWV0ZhUlhaUFRVOHZhejA9/2 [xTeVe] [ERROR] Not Acceptable (This error message comes from the provider) - EC: 4004
If I copy that url into VLC it of course fails.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Tim
What format do they use for Streams?
Thanks for coming back to me so quickly. Can I find that out with anything I have on my side (client)
Tim
I guess the best question is, What do they expect you to use to watch them?
Join us on Discord where others may be able to help. https://discord.gg/2eRWypU8
So they only allowed andriod smarters apps that auto login for you and do everything. I have to wireshark an android emulator on my PC to catch the urls / m3u and have successfully updated my config as the urls change until now.
Originally the m3u had .ts on the end of the feeds, and now they dont on the latest m3u I captured.
There are lots of providers out there that allow standard m3u/.ts transport. Use your $ to send them a message ;)
If they created some proprietary Smarters App, I think it's a useless cause.
Prob encrypted end to end.
My Streams don't have TS at the end but they are TS Streams. I really can't troubleshoot this. http://192.168.1.8:8080/test/test/176819
Can could you play that url in vlc to test?
The Streams are not Password Protected? Just open for everyone?
We are not gonna provide support for crappy "FREE" streaming sites. They tend to not work half the time and are in m3u8 format. Your on your own I'm afraid.
No problem.
xTeVe only accepts M3U format.
You can create a m3u with m3u8 links but your support will come from google. "See Docs"
Im having better success with No buffer, VLC didnt work. Only issue is the channels aren't clearing after stopping watching.
Is it going to be no Buffer is the solution or is there anything to bring xteve back into play for buffering etc. Its abit jerky.
Tim
Depends on your client. If it's Plex, you have to remux (buffer). If the client is not disconnecting properly, then I have no idea how to troubleshoot the client. Emby has had "Ghost Stream" issues for years.
