Xtream codes integration

Open JoeSutton95 opened this issue 4 years ago • 6 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. My IPTV provider is moving to Xtream Codes only as the only method to access channels. M3u playlists will no longer be supported.

Describe the solution you'd like Add the ability to login using the Xtream Codes API. Once logged in via Xtream Codes there’s a similar folder structure containing streams.

Describe alternatives you've considered Using an online generator like m3u4u, however the IPTV provider is proposing blocking access via this method also.

Additional context Add any other context or screenshots about the feature request here.

Personally, I'm not interested in an XC API. Since there are other streaming servers including their own APIs, M3U is the lowest common denominator. If your provider no longer wants to support this, it is more a "political" issue. Players like VLC etc. will then also no longer work.

Thanks for the reply. I think login via XC is going to become more popular as providers block access to m3u playlists for security reasons.

Thanks J

Could this be useful in implementing this feature?

Nope, There are Proxies to support this, not supported here.

You can try our livestream companion which has full support to Xtream Codes and M3u: https://github.com/muxpie/livestream-companion
