showing "waiting for xplane to exit" when x-plane is not running

Yeah as the title mentioned, during the install, it shows the waiting xplane exit interface when it was not running.

nither my xplane 12 nor my 11 is running on the machine. xplane was started several times before the install. no xplane process was running in the taskmgr. Image

os: windows 11 24H2 family hardware: RAM 32.0 GB Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 9 275HX (2.70 GHz)

(would try another time tomorrow after a full restart of the computer)
