Xipblog own columns not showing

Hi! I would like to know if there is any posibility to activate left columns of xipblog on Prestashop 1.7. Looking on main.php I have noticed that those lines to register the hooks are commented, although the option still appears on configuration screen. I would like also to know how to show the blog categories on that left column. I have seen a similar question made some time ago, but no response from anybody. So... let's try!
