Proxy mining inconsistently (0 kh/s)

Basically, the proxy goes from 13 kh/s back to zero because the miner only accepts once in a while. I can even see on minergate that it goes online and offline, this does not happen when I am mining without using the proxy. Is this normal?

also i should mention an "end of file" error that pops up every once in a while.

understandable, but still i don't understand what the end of file error is, why does it happen and if it is the reason why the mining is so unconsistent.

also why it's accepting jobs at such a low rate, without proxy it's always accepting keeping a constant connection to minergate's pool
