I installed the debug apk but grapheneos isnt allowing permissions to it. I'm not sure why, SMS permissions are greyed out in the permission settings. 

@gavine99 when I view the failed message using the debug version, it still says "Sending..." and the stock messenger still says "Not Sent. Tap to try again". So it appears...
