Hi.

Can you please try activating the option named Use legacy copy/paste in the advanced panel of the preferences and tell me if it helps

Also, was OS, language and keyboard layout are you using?

Regards,

Beeftext's been working fine for over a week, but today started exhibiting this same behavior, but only in Outlook. Exiting Beeftext and restarting did not change the behavior. Legacy copy/paste did not change the behavior either. Restarting Outlook did not help.

The shortcuts work correctly in other software (i tried a few), but not in Outlook messages. In Outlook, it instead pastes the content of the clipboard.

I'm running Beeftext 8.0 on Windows 10 with an English Q language keyboard. I'm using the desktop version of Outlook 365.

Sorry I deleted my comment by mistake. So i'm recreating it: If the problem occurs only with Outlook, then Beeftext is not the source of the problem. What to do:

  • Check for any changes in your Outlook configuration, and add-ons.
  • Try disabling your antivirus/web protection solution to see if it's not causing the trouble.

I'm seeing the same kind of bug with v8.1 on windows 10 in firefox with the "Text Cursor" setting in Windows 10 enabled. The "Text cursor" setting highlights the cursor position with coloured blobs at the top and bottom of the cursor.

BT Keyword \\email BT Snippet [email protected]

With the "Text Cursor" setting enabled in the Windows "ease of access" settings: The text-insert cursor appears as a standard cursor (i.e. not highlighted) within the editing window of notepad++. If I type the BT keyword in, the keyword disappears (after a fraction of a second) and the snippet insert very quickly (practically instantly, at least for a small snippet). So, Beeftext works as expected.

If I try the same in a firefox edit box, (like this one for github), I notice that the text-insert cursor is highlighted with the coloured blobs. (This suggests to me that the cursor or the editbox is being controlled differently than normal by windows and differently than notepad++). When I type the BT keyword the keyword the keyword is deleted in chunks ("mail" is deleted first, then "\\e" is deleted after a delay of a half a second or a second) and then nothing happens for 3-8 seconds, then the clipboard contents are inserted (rather than the snippet).

With the "Text Cursor" setting disabled: Beeftext works as expected in notepad++ and firefox.

Unfortunately, my computer is not yet eligible for upgrading to the version where Text Cursor was introduced. Until I can reproduce the problem, there is not much I can do.

I also noticed a random paste to the clipboard instead of the combo snippet. At this time, I am unable to reproduce this behavior, as it occurs randomly. I know someone else in my family who is experiencing the same problem. It may be a coincidence, but this has been happening since I enabled the clipboard history (Win+V) in Windows 10 (my version is 20H2, and I have a French Azerty keyboard, my version of Beeftext is 8.1).
