number keys stop working sometimes

I am not sure if this is an issue caused by Beeftext.

But in the last couple of weeks I experienced a strange problem.

After a few days (I do not turn off my computer at night), the number keys on the top of my keyboard stop working. The NumPad on the right is working. The special characters of the number keys are broken too.

At first I solved this with a restart. But I tried to narrow it down this time.

I connected another USB keyboard and the issue is the same. So it is not an hardware or driver issue, I guess.

Then I typed one of my Beeftext-shortcuts to see if Beeftext was still working (I rarely use it) and the shortcut was replaced by the longer text as expected. And then the numbers began to work again. 😯

Again: I am not sure if this issue is caused by Beeftext. But maybe someone else has experienced the same issue. I will investigate further the next time this happens.

• What keyboard layout are you using?
• Does the issue stop when you exit Beeftext?

Keyboard layout: German Exiting Beeftext did not solve the issue, when I tried it two weeks ago.
