Error with country_year_coder

Hello,

I am trying to add cown codes to FAO data. However, when I try to use country_year_coder I get the following error:

The following country and/or code-years were not matched:
Error in nchar(z, type = "width") : invalid multibyte string, element 27

I have removed all regions and other non-country cases in the dataset yet this has not helped. I am not sure what the issues is.

Hi Joe - could you send me the country-year data to [email protected]? I'll need to figure out what's happening with the specific dataset (maybe some encoding problem?)
