Obscure feature request

Wishing I'd found Doll when it first came out, as I'm the poster child for this app! I miss emails and messages all the time. Coffee on its way! My one worry is that development may have ceased since it hasn't been touched in about 9 months.

Obscure feature request:

I recently bought a Stream Deck from Elgato, because I like buttons (Steve Jobs just turned over in his grave). I soon realized that when I assigned an app to a button, the icon within the button is static, unless a custom plugin is controlling the functionality, which there aren't. So, I cannot glance at the Stream Deck to get a quick overview of waiting notifications. Of course that's what Doll is for, but it'd be cool to have this too. If Doll had a hook to pull app status from, I might be able to figure out how to write the SD software plugin. It's an obscure request, but might be helpful to other software beyond what I envision.
